This 6"unit before any work on unit.

After rebuilt
Same unit cleaned of scale and corrosion with new bearings, 2 new diamond wheels to replace worn out silicon carbide wheels and new 6"expandible drum for use of 6" silicon carbide or diamond belts that will outlast the silicon carbide belts but cost more to start with and replace but are much nicer to work with and cut faster.

Parts.....
When I got this carriage and vice from a 24" Hiland Park saw it had been sitting with the lid closed and water about 3" deep in the saw box. The owner wanted to replace the carriage with a new one. After checking the price of a complete unit which was quite expensive, I thought I could clean it up and replace the needed parts (bearings and hardware) for 1/3 of the cost of replacement. That is what we did.
