If some life is left in the wheels they will be left on the machine. Some cabbing machines may be painted, some are not. Cabbing Machine with Saw ~ 6" SOLD
This Star Diamond cabbing machine and saw combo is constructed of cast aluminum base with heavy sheet steel cover over the wheels and sheet steel saw table. It comes with a stainless steel water supply container mounted on a stand (NOT SHOWN) giving gravity feed water to the trim saw and cabbing machine. This is an excellent starter machine or fine for the pro cabber doing lots of work. This is a complete 6" cabbing machine with a 6" trim saw modified for dry sump, or wet sump use. I have replaced bearings, 80 grit diamond, 180 grit diamond, I have added a 3rd 280 grit used diamond soft wheel, new 6" expanding drum wheel for diamond or silicon carbide bests and a 6" flat disk (NOT SHOWN) for final polishing. Note: the expanding drum could be replaced with 600 grit, 1200 grit, and 3000 grit soft diamond wheels for all diamond cabbing machine. Grinder Polisher Saw ~ 6"
Grinder Polisher Saw... This is an excellent entry level machine, and is well built. Was manufactured by HiTech Diamond Co and sold by Sears for many years. It has a 1/4 HP, 5 amp, 1725 rpm double shaft motor. It has a 6 inch diameter saw with vise on the left side. The vice will lift out of the way for freehand cutting and trimming. Has one space for 6" grinding/polishing wheel. The cabbing machine can be set up several ways for cabbing. One way can be expandable drum for silicon carbide belts. Or a full set of diamond wheels can be swapped out one at time for each grinding/polishing step. This is just as quick as changing the belt method. It is shown with one 180 grit diamond wheel and a 6" flat plate for a leather or felt type diamond polishing plate. More plates are available. Price $475.00 SOLD

Star Diamond Cabbing Machine ~ 6"
This Star Diamond cabbing machine is constructed of cast aluminum, very well built. It would make an excellent starter machine. I replaced the bearings, installed 2 new diamond wheels, 80 grit, 180 grit and a new 6" expandable drum. There is a 6" flat disk on the right end of the machine. Leather or felt could be placed on the disk and then charged with diamond dust which would be exellent for the final polish. Note: the expanding drum could be replaced with 280 grit, 600 grit, 1200 grit, and 3000 grit soft diamond wheels for all diamond cabbing machine. The machine has no motor and not mounted on base. Optional base and motor available at extra cost.

Diamond Lapidary Rock Saw ~ 10"

(1) This saw has a 10 inch maximum diameter saw blade capacity. Can be used with
8 inch or 6 inch blade. Mounted on a sturdy welded steel stand.
The top removes easily with 3 screws then lifts off for
cleaning or blade swap. I have replaced both bearings, pulley, belt, and 10 inch
diamond saw blade. Cleaned off rust and corrosion and painted inside and out.
(2) Guard lifts up for easy cleaning.
(3) Unit has no guard for belt.
(4) Vice swings up and out of way for hand feeding stones.
(5) Aluminum splash guard is removable.
(6) Electric motor 1/3 HP, 120 Volt, 6 Amp.
(7) I have installed grease fittings to lube bearings. The inner bearing needs a small shot of grease regularly to flush out contaminants.
(8) Has large capacity sturdy vise for slabbing stones.
(9) All cast aluminum table, base and guard. Gravity feed with string and weights (not shown).

CRAFTSMAN Facet Machine ~ 6"
This machine is from somewhere in the 40's or 50's could be clasified as an antique.
I found this machine at the Tucson gem show a few years ago. I wanted to play around with faceting, so I rebuilt the machine but haven't found the time to use it. It has a 180 grit wheel and will come with one (1) backing plate and one (1) new flat lap, grit of your choice. You will probabily want more laps which can be ordered from our Diamond Flat Lap Page. I checked the shaft bushing and it is like new. All pivot points are ball bearing and tight, cleaned and adjusted.
